Fireworks, food, friends, family and freedom! What could be better!? I’ve put together the ultimate guide on where to get brunchfaced for the 4th in San Diego! From kid-friendly, all day block-parties, or somewhere to grab a bite and some cocktails (because you went hard on Wednesday night) there’s something for everyone on this list!

Brunchfaced: The Ultimate Father's Day Brunch Guide

They say a way to a mans heart is through his stomach. So for Fathers Day this weekend, I’ve put together my top picks on where dads can get brunchfaced! The list is full of beer, bbq, steak, pizza and manmosa’s, so make sure dads are coming ready to feast!

Brunchfaced: Memorial Day Weekend Brunch Guide

It’s another 3 day weekend! That means 3 days to get Brunchfaced!!! Here’s my top picks around San Diego and North County for a full weekend of festivities!

Taste of Mexico at Red O

Red O’s bloody mary is a “Taste of Mexico”, spicy, acidic and bursting with lime and citrus. Remnants of hot peppers dance on your tongue as your cheeks get rosy, and the tang of the lime juice slowly simmers the heat. With each sip the savory cocktail becomes increasingly saline and rich, making it effortless to finish the drink very quickly. Thank you to the booze gods for bottomless bloody marys!

The Farm Bloody Mary At Toast

The Farm Bloody Mary is garnished to perfection! Even the bacon is different; it’s beef, not pork, which San Diego Food Girl said was outstanding! There’s an adorable itty bitty breakfast meatball, deep-fried blue cheese olive (delicious), smoked cheddar, pickled asparagus and cayenne pickled garlic and pepperoncini. If you still have room for breakfast after your meal in a glass, I would recommend the veggie Benedict or the shrimp and grits! I can’t tell you how amazing it was!

Build Your Own Bloody Mary at Davanti Enoteca in Little Italy

Next, a qualified assistant walks you through the bloody mary bar and builds it for you! Because one does not, “build your own”. You let your bloody mary assistant know how spicy you want it (there is a large array of hot sauces to choose from) on a scale of 1-10, she adds Worcestershire sauce and fresh lemon juice and then your journey begins. Courtney and I went in two different directions for our toppings. Courtney chose bacon, prosciutto wrapped asparagus, ham, and a few veggies. I went for a kosher salt rim, pepper, celery salt, chili powder, pickled carrots, cauliflower, and peppers.

Everything Is Bigger In Texas: The Famous Bloody Best Bloody Mary from Chef Point Cafe

The bloody best, bloody mary, is an array of delectable food items with their own unique flavor and creative menu names to Chef Point Cafe. First off, the mix is made in-house, is spicy and garlicky as heck and full of seasonings. Delicious and not conventional tasting in the slightest. It brings that fire, brought on by the Tabasco and Worcestershire, thank goodness for the beer chaser! The 16oz beer is accompanied by an additional 16oz of bloody mary and they don't go easy on the Tito's Vodka either, so get ready to get tipsy!

Spicy Hot Bloody Marys and BBQ Brunch Fare at Smoke, Dallas

The Double Barrel Bloody Mary did not disappoint. This is a bad-ass bloody mary with kick-ass flavor. Made with New Amsterdam Vodka, Tim’s roasted tomato and chile mix, and pickled relish, these bloodys pack some serious heat. Not the kind that burns your tongue, but the kind of heat that makes your insides do the Harlem Shake.

Football, Pizza, Bloody Marys And A Romance In The Making

Good ole Old Chicago in EP (Eden Prairie) as they call it in Minnesota. The Sunday regular spot for me and my husband to watch my favorite sport.. FOOTBALL! You see when you are born and raised in Boston there is about a 99.9% chance that since conception you were being groomed to be a lover of all Boston sports. Of course, my generation worships the greatest team of all time; the New England Patriots. Living in Minnesota, they don’t like to play Patriots games on TV unless they are nationally televised, so we made Old Chicago our go-to for football games on Sundays. I actually consider it a place where our love blossomed in the early months. Pizza, football, Tom Brady, and bloody marys. Doesn’t get more romantic. I don’t think he was used to dating someone who was such a crazy football fan, I like to think its one of the things that made him fall in love with me. I’m like a cool wife ya know, I make my husband watch football with me on Sundays. Typically, I’m a very loving and nurturing person but I might put my husband on the couch for 2 weeks if he tried to ask me to do something lame like go to Home Depot during game-time, I mean who would do that? As the season progressed, so did our love.
