Best Brunch in North Park

San Diego, like most cities, has so many great neighborhoods with their own little communities and individuality. One of my favorites neighborhoods is the ever-growing North Park. With so many fabulous restaurants to explore, these are my top picks where to find the best brunch in North Park.

Swami’s Cafe

A long-time San Diego staple, and for a good reason, Swami’s Cafe in North Park is the perfect place to grab a fast yet delicious brunch. A buzzing neighborhood atmosphere order your food and drink at the register and choose from a variety of omelets, pancakes, Swami’s traditions and a chalkboard full of seasonal specials! Hangout in the open and inviting space or grab it on the go!

Once you’ve ordered descend on the coffee bar with 15+ types of coffee to choose from or one of their fun espresso drinks! The coffee options are endless at Swami’s! You can also power your day/brunch by ordering one of their many juices, smoothies, or bowls. The Iron Horse and Swami’s Acai Bowl are healthy choices that you can feel good about!

The Mission

One of San Diego’s tried and true breakfast and brunch restaurants, The Mission has been a San Diego staple for over 20 years. A cozy neighborhood hang, with bright, flavorful, and savory dishes, The Mission sources local ingredients along with baking their own bread and pastries in house! The decadent….and famous Cinnamon French Toast or the healthy and fresh Zen breakfast are just two delicious dishes The Mission offers to their long-time and loyal customer base.

Maybe the cheapest ($8) but certainly delicious bloody marys in San Diego or a fresh fruit mimosa can be found at The Mission brunch. If you’re not feeling up to drinking indulge and fuel up with their energy boosting PB & Acai shake or one of their specialty coffees from their, “last legal vice” menu!

619 Spirits

Delicious brunch, a massive Bloody Mary, and award-wining vodka, brunch at 619 Spirits in North Park is low key amazing. Located just off of University, 619 Spirits serves up incredible brunch fare with options like the juicy Bahn Mi Burger, a loaded Avocado Toast, and Huevos Rancheros smothered in salsa roja.

If all that food wasn’t enough to get you #BrunchFaced you can’t brunch at 619 Spirits without having their massive Bloody Mary Jar! Served in a 32oz mason jar, 619 Spirits is not messing around with their bloody mary! You can order the bloody mary jar with any kind of 619 Spirits Vodka, Pickle Vodka was my choice. A perfect complement to the bloody mary mix, the pickle vodka is a collaboration 619 did with my other local favorites, Farv’s Pickles! Try it, you won’t regret it!

West Coast Tavern

Located adjacent to the famous North Park sign one of the first restaurants to open in the neighborhood, West Coast Tavern is still getting brunchafced every weekend after 10 years! Chef Marcos delivers a brunch menu that is especially good and will fill you up! Dig into a Short Rib Loco Moco with braised short ribs or a Hot Chicken Waffle Sandwich to spice up your morning or keep it light with a protein-packed Power Quinoa Bowl!

#BrunchSoHard and wash all that food down with one of their famous Big Ass Brunch Drinks meant for sharing with multiple people! If you’re not into gallons of booze, then sip on a mimosa or one of their many craft cocktails including the menu of mules and botanical libations.

The Seventh House

The Seventh House in North Park is where culinary excellence and mysticism intertwine, creating a one-of-a-kind brunch adventure that promises to satisfy both your appetite and your curiosity. This hidden gem seamlessly fuses modern aesthetics with the opulent vibes of Marie Antoinette's era, offering a truly unique culinary and mystical experience. Indulge your palate with extraordinary dishes like the decadent Vanilla Bean French Toast, the savory Divorcee Eggs accompanied by luscious pork belly, or the succulent slow-braised Short Rib Sandwich. As you savor these delectable dishes, you'll have the opportunity to delve into the world of tarot, where intuitive and skilled readers await, ready to provide insights and guidance.

Complementing the exquisite brunch offerings at The Seventh House are the meticulously crafted cocktails that elevate the entire experience. Picture yourself sipping on a refreshing Thyme & Place, with its delightful blend of herbs and botanicals, or perhaps indulging in an Espresso Martini on Draft, guaranteed to tantalize your senses. But the pièce de résistance is the Let Them Eat Cake Tower, an extravagant centerpiece that transforms your brunch into a royal feast. Served in a golden fountain, it combines vodka punch and an array of delectable cakes to share with three of your closest brunch pals, making it an experience to remember.
