Can’t stop, won’t stop; Breakfast Republic opens another location in Mission Valley!

The latest location of Breakfast Republic in Mission Valley makes it a perfect spot for shoppers to grab breakfast before hitting the mall or an early afternoon breakfast after a morning of shopping till you drop! I myself, may have “accidentally” wandered across the street to Nordstrom Rack after finishing my breakfast.  #mimosasmademedoit

Live Your Best Life as a Mermaid at the Hotel Solamar's Mermaid Core Class

Now, this Saturday your dream of becoming Arielle can come true too with Hotel Solamar’s Mermaid Core Class! Each attendee slips into mermaid tails for the class, which adds a level of difficulty to the workout. Once you get the mermaid tails on you quickly realize why Arielle wanted legs so badly. But on the other hand, you look so adorable and your childhood dream has finally come true that you can’t help but be filled with joy!

Day Dining at the Newly Opened Fort Oak in Mission Hills

In a sea of chilaquiles, breakfast burritos, and huevos rancheros, typical for Southern California brunch menus, Fort Oak is pushing the boundaries of what a brunch menu can be. Trust me there is nothing better than having a hangover, drinking a stiff bloody mary and devouring a giant breakfast burrito, but it is also nice to have a more refined and upscale brunch experience. When you try a new restaurant and get the experience of tasting something you’ve never experienced before; don’t us brunchers and day diners deserve the same experience?

Brunchfaced: Saint Patrick's Day Weekend

I’m super stoked about this weekend and to be celebrating here in San Diego!! For Saturday, I only have one plan and that’s to attend the shamROCK block party in the Gaslamp District!! I’ll definitely be needing a stiff bloody mary and some brunch on Sunday morning, so here’s where to party on Saturday and get brunchfaced on Sunday to cure your hangover!

What's Your Kitchen Story? The Millionaire Mary from Kitchen Story, San Francisco

When I first sipped Kitchen Story’s Millionaire Mary, I wasn’t sure what to think. Before I could even process the flavors, my mom’s best friend, Lisa, had already drank her entire bloody! The bloody mary has a succulent and sweet flavor, combined with a slightly more than subtle horseradish kick that tickles your tongue. Growing up in kitchens I learned all about the wonders of onions and what they can do to elevate food. The finely minced onions in the mix brightens the sweetness of the tomatoes while the saltiness of the rim balances the hangover concoction perfectly.
