The latest location of Breakfast Republic in Mission Valley makes it a perfect spot for shoppers to grab breakfast before hitting the mall or an early afternoon breakfast after a morning of shopping till you drop! Biergarden does have a large selection of San Diego brews on tap but I decided on Biergarden because of their brunch and FULL Bloody Mary menu! The bloody mary menu definitely steals the show! Not one, not two, not three, but FIVE bloody marys for your tasting and drinking pleasure. In a sea of tomato juice, vodka, and celery sticks, nothing makes your girl more excited than variety and individuality (that goes for my food and life in general).

Walking up to Sally’s you can’t miss the sea of teal umbrellas and couches on their fabulous outdoor patio; very inviting and sea-inspired. I always say, “sea life’s beauty,” so we grabbed a table with a view of the water under our shaded teal umbrella.
The bloody mary at Hello Betty has been one of my favorites of 2018 so far! When I first sipped the bloody mary I said to my brunch date, “oooh wow that is savory”. If you’ve read any of my other blogs then you know I’m a savory and salty kind of gal, so the bloody immediately hit the spot! Betty's bloody mary mix is loaded with flavor and spices, especially celery seed and garlic and is light on the horseradish. Every morsel has an umami flavor that is rich, deep and elevates the warmth of the tomato juice. The bloody mary is not spicy, but sometimes that’s completely okay! The Hello Betty house-made bloody mary is topped off with New Amsterdam Vodka, a simple celery stalk, lemon wedge and a kosher salt rim!
Don’t you just love the smell of Barbecue? Whether it’s your thing or not, you can’t deny luring aromas billowing from slow roasted meat! Smells trigger memories and emotions within our brains, so when I pulled up to Cali Comfort BBQ and smelled the food smoking in the back, I was transported to fond memories of grilling with my dad on camping trips, holiday barbecues or just a regular Tuesday night. Oh, the nostalgia.
Do you love blue skies, unbelievable views and great food and drinks? Then look no further than the 14th-floor rooftop destination bar, The Nolen, for “The Sunday Requirement.” I require that you try this place out as soon as possible! When I walked off the elevator and turned the corner, my jaw dropped to the floor. I was blown away by the expansive views and tall ceilings, as were the other members of my monthly Bloody Mary Meetup Group
It was a gorgeous morning so we took a table on the patio, perfect for our favorite activities together, being outdoors and people/car watching. In need of some recuperation beverages from the prior nights' festivities, I ordered coffee, water, and the Bloody Marie to soothe my aching soul.
The kitchen sink bloody is topped with enough food for lunch and dinner. All the traditional fixings: lemon, lime, olives, pickle spear, pickled onion, pepperoncini and a celery stalk. For the main course, a cheeseburger slider on a toasted bun, seasoned grilled shrimp, thick cut seasoned bacon, still hot and sizzling from the oven, and not just a regular chicken tender, but a buffalo chicken tender that was succulent and juicy.
