Brunchfaced: The Ultimate Father's Day Brunch Guide

They say a way to a mans heart is through his stomach. So, for Father’s Day this weekend, I’ve put together my ultimate guide on where dads can get brunchfaced and eat to their hearts content! The list is full of beer, bbq, steak, pizza and manmosa’s, so make sure dads are coming ready to feast!

10 Barrel Brewing Co. - East Village


10 Barrel Brewing Co. is hosting its first-ever Father’s Day BBQ from 12–6 p.m. on Sunday, June 16. The East Village brewpub will be transforming its outside deck into a backyard paradise – complete with bags, shuffleboard, games, and of course, beer. For $20, guests will receive a BBQ feast from Chef Tommy Fraioli which includes two meats and two sides. Worried about missing the U.S. Open? 10 Barrel will be broadcasting the tournament on their 12-foot projector screen. Bonus: the 10 Barrel staff will be bringing their dads by, so you can meet the men behind the stellar staff!

Bub’s @ the Beach - Pacific Beach

Dads who brunch can up the ante with a trip to Bub’s @ the Beach, where they can pair their Gravy and Biscuits with a tall drink of Man-mosa, prepared with Smirnoff Orange, orange juice and Bub’s house champagne, all topped with a 12 oz. can of Miller High Life in a mini pitcher. If this doesn’t amp up your Father’s Day, nothing will! 

The Westgate Hotel - Downtown

Celebrate dad this Father’s Day with craft beer and live jazz at The Westgate Hotel. Enjoy a selection of micro-brews while listening to the sweet saxophone sounds of the Charlie Arbelaez Quartet and indulging in the Westgate’s award-winning Sunday Brunch. Each dad will also be gifted a unique Westgate beer pint. Boasting an impressive selection of brunch favorites, menu options include a made-to-order omelet station, eggs benedict, a carving station, fresh seafood and sushi, mini doughnuts, an ice cream bar and more.

The Pioneer - La Mesa

Celebrate Father’s Day with a good old-fashioned tailgate party at The Pioneer, where Executive Chef Hanis will do what he does best: barbecue! In a partnership with Mike Hess Brewing, the tailgate will start at noon, and will feature The Pioneer’s special Father’s Feast plate, complete with grilled tri-tip, ribs, links and two sides for $20.95. Be sure to pair this with an ice-cold brew for good measure!

Wood Ranch - Mission Valley

For those whiskey-loving dads, head to Wood Ranch in Mission Valley for great food and Whiskey Flights. Each flight comes with three 1oz tasters, with several menu options such as ‘The American Made’, ‘Rye Nit’, or the popular ‘Build Your Own’ flight. Prices start at $15 and up. Bourbon & BBQ sounds like a Father’s Day match made in heaven!

Amici’s Ristobar - Carmel Valley

Amici’s Ristobar at The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch is partnering with Hess Brewery to celebrate dads. Stop in from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Father’s Day to enjoy an assortment of Hess Brewery beers and keep the pint glass! After the toast, chow down on the Prime Rib Special all-day for only $30. 

Cali Comfort BBQ - Spring Valley

Family owned Cali Comfort in Spring Valley are BBQ heavyweights!
