What's Your Kitchen Story? The Millionaire Mary from Kitchen Story, San Francisco

When I first sipped Kitchen Story’s Millionaire Mary, I wasn’t sure what to think. Before I could even process the flavors, my mom’s best friend, Lisa, had already drank her entire bloody! The bloody mary has a succulent and sweet flavor, combined with a slightly more than subtle horseradish kick that tickles your tongue. Growing up in kitchens I learned all about the wonders of onions and what they can do to elevate food. The finely minced onions in the mix brightens the sweetness of the tomatoes while the saltiness of the rim balances the hangover concoction perfectly.

But, since it’s a special lady’s event, the guys need somewhere to brunch this Presidents’ Day weekend too! Here’s where to get Brunchfaced this weekend!

Don’t Brunch And Drive: Three Great Spots to Brunch Along the Trolley Route

Living in San Diego for over 3 years now I recently got to experience my first ride on the trolley! When I plan on brunchin and drinking I usually just grab an Uber but $30 roundtrip Ubers start to add up! So, a $5 day pass to ride the trolley to your hearts content can save you 6 times over! Whether your heading into mission valley or downtown from east county or living in the city and want to experience some east county eats, the trolley is the way to go!

Taste of Mexico at Red O

Red O’s bloody mary is a “Taste of Mexico”, spicy, acidic and bursting with lime and citrus. Remnants of hot peppers dance on your tongue as your cheeks get rosy, and the tang of the lime juice slowly simmers the heat. With each sip the savory cocktail becomes increasingly saline and rich, making it effortless to finish the drink very quickly. Thank you to the booze gods for bottomless bloody marys!
