Brunchfaced: Super Bowl Sunday Brunch in San Diego

Only a few days away from the best day of the year, Super Bowl Sunday. I don’t say that just because my team makes the Super Bowl virtually every year, but because it’s been a a huge celebration since I was born. Food, friends, family, and football, four of my favorite things on earth. I’m still undecided on where to watch the big game but here are my top picks for where to get brunchfaced on Super Bowl Sunday in San Diego!

Twisted Sister Bloody Mary at Garage Kitchen + Bar

I knew before going in that the Garage Kitchen + Bar bloody mary was going to be big, but I was not expecting the gargantuan that is the Twisted Sister bloody mary. The Twisted Sister is a thirty-four-ounce Bavarian “twist” on a traditional bloody. San Diego Food Girl and I were wondering why we didn’t bring two friends or more with us to share!

Sunday Morning Remedy Bloody Mary at The Nolen Rooftop

Do you love blue skies, unbelievable views and great food and drinks? Then look no further than the 14th-floor rooftop destination bar, The Nolen, for “The Sunday Requirement.” I require that you try this place out as soon as possible! Jacked Up Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar at Hell's Kitchen, Minneapolis

After accidentally ordering just a “regular” bloody mary, finally, my mug of vodka and Hell’s Kitchen original bloody mary mix arrived so I could high-tail it to the 35-foot long black icicle hallway. I couldn’t believe my eyes! This is no ordinary build your own bloody mary bar! Over 200 different kinds of hot sauces and a smorgasbord of goodies! I didn’t add any extra hot sauce to mine, but I sure did load up on the food. I did a celery salt rim, olives, cherry tomatoes, pickles, capers, garlic, green, red and yellow peppers, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, asparagus, cucumbers, olives, extra horseradish, corn, and 2 chicken wings, one honey bbq flavored and the other coated with a dry rub. They have no limit to how much you can stuff in your mug as long as the skewers fit in your glass!

It was a beautiful Sunday morning in Minneapolis and we decided to spend the day in Uptown. After a few hours of shopping, (because shopping is so tiring) I was fairly parched and that pesky hunger monster was starting to come out so we decided to stop in Uptown Tavern. Since it was such a beautiful day we sat on the rooftop patio.
